Review HTC One smartphone M9 – in the power of metal

The new flagship of HTC has kept the traditional design of the premium brand of smart phones, the hallmarks of which is the all-metal housing with front stereo speakers BoomSound, but on the part of the hardware filling radical change, we have Snapdragon 810, 3GB RAM. But will it help the newest “iron”One M9 surpass the popularity of the flagships of the other A-brands? We find out later in the review.

The design and functional elements

The appearance of the new flagship HTC not really changed since the previous version. Transformation minimal design – metal housing gadget brushed metal texture is now made in two colors and looks obviously more interesting.

Another unobtrusive appearance, but very important improvement has touched the power button – it is migrated to the right side face and now lies in exactly under the big toe. We got to test the machine in silver casing with a smooth gold rim. There are variations in gold and gray.

One thing that distinguishes M9 from its predecessor easily is the rear panel. It provides novelty square shape 20.1Mp lens camera with two-color LED flash. In the center is traditionally a logo of the manufacturer,  and additionaly noise-canceling microphone and plastic strip “concealing” the antenna.

Front panel in One M9 is divided between the 5-inch display, and side frames which have become somewhat narrower than that of One M8, a pretty camera, a slot for sensors and two stereo speakers grilles. Under the top lie the LED- indicator, and a lower “Elementary” microphone.

The capacity of the built-in flash drive One M9 – 32 GB. Out of this, the user can use about 21 GB. Separately, I support USB-OTG specifications and microSD memory cards up to a maximum capacity of 128 GB.

Equipment and performance

In contrast to the design of hardware, the stuffing of the smartphone has changed quite significantly. M9 is one of the first in the market that has a new 64-bit 8-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8994 810 with a clock frequency of 2 GHz and Adreno 430 graphics.

Paired with 3 GB of RAM, this chipset allows expensive HTC One M9 AnTuTu gain in more than 52 thousand points. In practice, this “iron ligament” plays video in 4K resolution and allows you to play all the games from the Play Market with the highest graphics settings. With a simple task at all no problems, believe me.

Review Prestigio Grace X5 – an inexpensive smartphone

Another novelty mobile Prestigio, aimed at the top smartphone fans self has been released. Besides 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash the phone has quite a number of other interesting features. We will talk about them and many others in this review.

What will you get in the box?

The company for several years  has followed the same style in the design of packaging for its mobile devices and Grace X5 is no exception. The box in which it is supplied has a cable micro-USB / USB, adapter, charger, user manual and warranty card, made of durable cardboard, painted in the company colors of the brand – red and black.

On top of its cover is a picture of the smartphone itself, but on the bottom of its list of specifications – there are English and Russian languages. The several bright pictograms also give an idea about the specifications of the gadget without having to look inside the device.

The design and functional elements

The design of the Grace X5 is not catchy and does not contain many flashy elements. The only external advantage that sets it apart from many competitors in the medium price segment – rear panel with texture in the form of fine mesh and multiple patches of sequins, beautifully looks in the sun.

However, the plastic used here is not only interesting from an aesthetic side, but also practical – it is not a strong brand and very slippery, which along with the absence of sharp edges Grace X5 significantly improves the ergonomics – the smart phone fits comfortably in your hand, doesn’t not strive to slip out of it .

The internal memory of the gadget on board 8 GB, of which the user is allocated approximately 5 GB. There is a slot for microSD-cards up to 32 GB plus 200 GB of free cloud storage MultiCloud. Connecting flash drives via OTG mode is not supported.

The Grace X5 installed removable battery of 1800 mAh. One of its full charge lasts an average of 7 hours 30 minutes a day, 2 hours of web surfing via Wi-Fi, and about 4.5 hours of mobile internet.

Prestigio Grace X5, of course is interesting, and the credit for this does not go to the strong “iron” or some kind of progressive acoustic possibilities – they just completely comply with the budget class, and 5MP front-facing camera with LED-flash, it is still rare for Modern smart phones under $160.

Among the main drawbacks of Grace X5, it includes a short battery life and lack of oleophobic coating of the screen. However the quality of display is real good.
